In short: what is the Canva for Social Media course?
A two-week Canva course for people who need good-looking posts without learning Photoshop. You build a brand kit and a template system, then produce a full month of content from it. PKR 2,000, weekends, certificate included. The internship is not part of the short courses.
Who This Is For
Students running a page for a campus society, people selling clothes or food on Instagram, someone helping with a family business, and anyone who has been quietly paying a designer PKR 500 a post for work they could do in twenty minutes.
No design background is assumed and no expensive software is needed. Canva runs in a browser and the free tier covers nearly everything we do in class.
What the Two Weeks Cover
- Session 1. How Canva is actually structured, and the three settings that decide whether a design looks amateur or not. Building a brand kit with your colours, fonts and logo.
- Session 2. Layout basics that transfer anywhere: hierarchy, spacing, contrast and why text over a busy photo never works.
- Session 3. Template systems. Building one master set and resizing it for feed posts, stories, reels covers and WhatsApp status without redoing anything.
- Session 4. Magic Studio and the AI tools, plus a month of content produced live so you leave with it finished rather than planned.
What You Will Not Get Here
This is not the graphic design course. You will not learn Photoshop, Illustrator, logo construction or print preparation, and Canva has real limits when a client wants vector files or press-ready artwork.
If you want design as a career rather than a skill for your own page, the eight-week Graphic Designing course is the right one, and your fee here comes off it if you upgrade within three months.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need Canva Pro?
No. The free tier covers almost everything in class. Pro is useful once you are doing this regularly, mainly for brand kits and one-click resizing, and we show you what it actually adds before you decide to pay for it.
Is there an internship with this course?
No. The free internship is attached to the professional courses, not the short ones. What you get here is the certificate, the templates you build, and your fee credited towards a full course if you upgrade within three months.
Can I take small design jobs after two weeks?
For simple social posts for local shops and pages, yes, and several students have. Anything involving logos, print or brand work needs the longer course.
Do I need a laptop?
A laptop is much easier for class, though Canva works on a phone. If you do not have one, tell us when you apply and we will seat you on-site where a machine is available.
