Graphic Designing course in Rawalpindi and online
Commercial design for real clients: ad creative, social sets, brand basics and print files that come back from the press correctly. Taught on-site at our office in Scheme 3, Rawalpindi, within easy reach of Islamabad, and live online for everyone else. A free internship on live client accounts and a certificate of completion are included, delivered by Syed Mudassir Shah rather than a hired trainer.
What you can do afterwards
Written as tasks rather than topics, because this is what an employer or a client will actually ask you to perform.
In short: what is the Graphic Designing course?
An eight-week graphic design course aimed at commercial work rather than art: social media creative, ad visuals, brand identity basics, print and packaging for Pakistani clients. Taught in Adobe and Figma with Canva for speed work. Includes a supervised internship and a certificate of completion.
Design for Clients, Not for Dribbble
There is a gap between design that wins likes among designers and design that sells a product in Pakistan. A beautiful minimal layout with a three-word headline does not work for an audience scrolling at speed who needs to know the price, the discount and where to order.
This course is built around commercial constraints. Client revisions, brand guidelines you did not write, an ugly logo you cannot change, print at a Raja Bazaar press with unreliable colour, files that have to work at four aspect ratios. Those constraints are the job, and designers who handle them calmly get rehired.
What the Eight Weeks Cover
- Week 1. Fundamentals that transfer to every tool: hierarchy, alignment, contrast, spacing, grids. Why a layout feels wrong and how to name the reason.
- Week 2. Typography and colour. Pairing typefaces, Urdu and English in one layout, colour systems, accessibility and contrast, and what happens to colour between screen and press.
- Week 3. Photoshop for commercial work: retouching, compositing, product images, and preparing files at the right size and format.
- Week 4. Illustrator: vectors, logo construction, icons, and the file formats a printer and a developer each need.
- Week 5. Social media creative at volume. Templates, master files and resizing systems so twenty posts do not take twenty days. Canva as a production tool where it belongs.
- Week 6. Brand identity basics: marks, usage rules, a simple brand sheet, and presenting design decisions in language a client understands.
- Week 7. Print and packaging: bleed, CMYK, resolution, paper and finishing, and how to send files to a local press without a costly surprise.
- Week 8. Figma for web and UI layouts, portfolio building, and a final client brief delivered end to end.
Portfolio and Getting Paid
A designer is hired on their folio and almost nothing else. Across the course you build six to eight finished pieces to a real brief rather than exercises, then the internship adds live client work on top.
We also spend time on the commercial side, because talented designers in Pakistan routinely undercharge and then resent the work. How to price by project rather than by hour, how to scope revisions so they end, what an advance protects you from, and how to hand over files properly so a client comes back rather than asking a cheaper person for edits.
Internship and Certificate
The included internship is eight weeks of supervised work on live brand accounts: social creative, ad variants, presentation decks, and occasional print work. It is unpaid, needs around twelve hours a week, and produces portfolio pieces that were actually published.
You receive a certificate of completion from MrSEO.pk and a written reference. It is not a government accredited qualification. In design hiring the portfolio is decisive, which is why the course is weighted towards producing one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need Adobe subscriptions?
Adobe trials cover the early weeks and we teach free alternatives alongside, including Figma, Photopea and Canva. If you intend to work professionally you will eventually need Photoshop and Illustrator, and we cover the student and regional pricing options.
What kind of laptop do I need?
For Photoshop and Illustrator at a comfortable speed, 8GB of RAM is the practical minimum and 16GB is better. An older machine will work for smaller files and for Figma and Canva, which run in the browser.
Can I learn design if I cannot draw?
Yes. Commercial graphic design is composition, typography and problem solving rather than illustration. Drawing is a separate skill and it is not required for the work this course prepares you for.
Does the course cover Urdu typography?
Yes. Nastaliq and Naskh handling, mixing Urdu with English in a single layout, and the font and rendering problems that come with it. Most international training skips this entirely and it comes up constantly in Pakistani client work.
Is there freelance work available for designers in Pakistan?
There is substantial local and international freelance demand, particularly for social media creative on retainer. Rates locally are lower than international platforms, and international work needs a stronger portfolio and English communication. The course covers positioning for both.
